Catherine Stoddart
Adjunct Associate Professor Catherine Stoddart is the Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer of Western Australia. Catherine has previously held executive management roles and senior clinical nursing positions at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Catherine has held positions in both the State and Commonwealth Governments and more recently as the Executive Director of Nursing across WA Country Health Service and the Regional Director for the Kimberley
Catherine’s qualifications are a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing), Master of Science, and Master of Business Administration. As a Winston Churchill fellow, Catherine has reviewed models for isolated nursing practice in Alaska and Canada, focusing on indigenous communities.
Catherine has an interest in international and indigenous health in rural and remote areas as well as leading positive and sustainable change for nursing and midwifery in Western Australia.
