Returning to nursing or midwifery may be a daunting prospect for some. However, WA Health has streamlined the process by centrally coordinating and managing courses for nurses and midwives.
You can get back into the nursing and midwifery workforce if:
- you are no longer registered by completing a renewal of registration program
- you are still registered, but have not worked for a while, by completing a refresher program
Courses are generally short in duration, free to eligible applicants who commit to working in the public health care system and a grant for financial assistance is also available (conditions apply).
