WA Minister for Health's International Outreach Fellowship for Senior Registered Nurses and Midwives
The inaugural WA Minister for Health’s International Outreach Fellowship for senior registered nurses and midwives is worth $20,000. It provides an opportunity for a senior registered nurse or midwife, with a demonstrated commitment to working in the WA public health system, to undertake an overseas clinical experience in a developing country.
The clinical experience involves undertaking a project, in collaboration with an international health agency, to address one of the World Health Organisations Millennium goals. The aim of the project is to contribute positively to health outcomes in a developing country and gain international experience.
Being awarded this fellowship signifies recognition of achievements and individual commitment to nursing and/or midwifery and a capacity for future success in the successful individual’s clinical area.
The Fellowship is administered through the Global Health Alliance, Western Australia (external site).
