WA Health offers you a wide range of places to work.
While most people are familiar with WA Health’s tertiary facilities, such as Fremantle Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, you may choose to work in a secondary or primary health care facility.
There are also a number of rural hospitals to choose from including Albany, Bunbury, Carnarvon and Kalgoorlie Hospitals to name a few. These health facilities offer a range of benefits while allowing you to explore the beauty of Western Australia and experience life outside Perth.

Hospitals and health services

- WA Country hospitals are run by WA Country Health Service (WACHS), the largest country health system in Australia. It provides an extensive range of health services across an area of 2.55 million square kilometres for a population of 454,000 people – almost one quarter of the state's population.
- Armadale Health Service is a general hospital located in the foothills of Perth. In addition to a variety of clinical areas, it offers a range of services in mental health. Staff are supported in gaining experience and education.
- Bentley Health Service is a general hospital located 10 kilometres south of Perth’s CBD. It is the home of the state Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
- Child and Adolescent Community Health Service provides a comprehensive range of health promotion and early identification and intervention community based services to children and families, focussing on growth and development in the early years, promoting wellbeing during childhood and adolescence.
- Fremantle Hospital is a large tertiary and teaching hospital located in the port city of Fremantle. It has a strong nurse support network and the only public hyperbaric unit in metropolitan Perth.
- Graylands Hospital is the largest mental health inpatient facility in Western Australia. Co-located with research and education facilities, this is a major training centre for all health professionals within mental health.

- Osborne Park Hospital is a secondary hospital located approximately 7km north of Perth’s CBD which specialises in women's and newborn services and aged care and rehabilitation.
- Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) is the only tertiary paediatric hospital in the state and is a large teaching hospital. It treats around 300,000 children and teenagers each year.
- Rockingham Peel Group encompasses Rockingham General Hospital (RKGH), Mandurah Community Health, Murray Districts Hospital (MDH) and Peel and Rockingham Kwinana Mental Health Service (PaRK MHS).
- Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) is the largest tertiary / teaching hospital in the state, with two campuses. It houses Western Australia’s major trauma centre, as well as burns and spinal units.
- Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is a fully accredited teaching hospital providing tertiary care to the people of Western Australia.
- Swan Kalamunda Health Service (SKHS) comprises the Swan campus in the Swan Valley and the Kalamunda campus set in the Darling Range, overlooking the Perth skyline.
- Women and Newborn Health Service including King Edward Memorial Hospital is the only tertiary referral centre for obstetrics, gynaecology, gynaecology oncology and neonatalogy in Western Australia. It is located in Subiaco, only 4km west of Perth.
