Rockingham General Hospital
This hospital is located in the seaside city of Rockingham, 47km south of Perth. Rockingham offers a relaxing costal lifestyle and is only 40 minutes from the city on the new train service. The hospital campus backs onto natural bushland and a golf course. The hospital is close to the beach, Rockingham’s cafe strip and train line.
This 18 hectare hospital campus is currently undergoing major redevelopment which will transform it from a 71 bed secondary hospital to a 228 bed general hospital by 2009–10. The increase in beds will be accompanied by an increase in specialist doctors, GPs, full-time and part-time nurses and allied health staff.
Services
Existing services include a busy Emergency Department, Medical, Surgical and Obstetric services and Hospital in the Home. In addition to these there will be an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Chemotherapy, Older adult and Rehabilitation unit, Ambulatory wing, 30 bed Mental Health Inpatient Unit and links to satellite Renal Dialysis.
