Up-skill programs
Up-skilling programs are designed for junior nurses and midwives currently working in acute clinical areas who wish to gain skills and knowledge in their current area of work. These courses are also for more experienced nurses and midwives who want to move into another area of clinical expertise.
They are not designed for graduate nurses or beginning practitioners with limited clinical experience.
The programs include theoretical and clinical practice components, which participants are required to successfully complete to achieve the course.
The following courses are coordinated through WA Health:
Applicants must have a minimum of two years acute post registration experience. However, if you have less than two years acute experience but have significant other relevant experience, enrolment may be considered following consultation with the course manager and the course coordinator.
